Leaders at the Summit

The energy at the Building Futures Summit 2026 proved one thing: our industry is ready for what comes next.

With the backing of government, employers, and plumbing and fire protection professionals from across the industry, the BFBB movement is ready to turn insight into action.

Attendees from across the Partner and Supporter  plumbing and fire protection companies experienced:

  • The Hon Andrew Giles MP, Minister for Skills & Training, give an overview of the Federal Government’s support for increasing the number of women in plumbing.

  • A presentation of groundbreaking research giving a view of the current industry workplaces strengths and challenges.

  • A panel discussion with companies talking about current workforce challenges and the value of their participating in the BFBB pilot program.

  • A leadership session with BFBB Project Partners to discuss how to make the BFBB project sustainable and to sign off on a 5-year Blueprint for Reform.

The day was a huge success. Industry leaders from different companies, with varied perspectives, came together for a day and left all heading in the same direction.

Here is the Summit program and check out our video which kicked off the session.
